Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Edlege platform and related services (the "Services") provided by Nikasemo Technologies Ltd ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

These Terms apply to all users of the Services, including school administrators, teachers, students, parents, and any other users.

2. Description of Services

Edlege is an integrated education operating system that provides:

• Edlege SOS: School operations management including student/staff registration, attendance tracking, terminal report generation, and fee billing.
• Edlege Pay: Digital fee collection, canteen/feeding tracking, settlement processing, and credit financing for schools.
• Edlege Academics: Student learning applications, teacher AI co-pilot tools, learner analytics, and OCR-based assessment tools.
• Nikasemo Pad: A custom educational tablet pre-loaded with curriculum content and an offline AI tutor.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Services, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Subscription & Payments

Certain features of the Services require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your selected plan as described on our Pricing page
• Authorize us to process payments through your designated mobile money or bank account
• Accept that subscription fees are billed on a per-term or annual basis as selected
• Understand that failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your access

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice to registered users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services
• Use the Services for any purpose other than legitimate educational administration
• Share login credentials with unauthorized persons
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Services without our consent

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, curriculum content, and the Edlege OS — are owned by Nikasemo Technologies Ltd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

7. Data Ownership

Schools retain ownership of their institutional data, including student records, academic data, attendance records, and financial transaction records entered into the platform. We act as a data processor on behalf of schools.

Upon termination of your subscription, you may request an export of your school data within 60 days. After this period, we reserve the right to delete stored data.

8. Hardware Terms (Nikasemo Pad)

Nikasemo Pads are sold or leased to schools subject to the following conditions:

• Tablets remain the property of the school or financing institution until fully paid for
• The Edlege OS installed on the tablets may not be modified, rooted, or replaced without authorization
• Hardware warranty covers manufacturing defects for 12 months from delivery
• Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, water exposure, or unauthorized modifications

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.5% uptime for our cloud-based services. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Services. Offline functionality through the Nikasemo Pad is designed to operate independently of internet connectivity for core learning features.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nikasemo Technologies Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, or profits
• Errors in academic report generation or fee calculations
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to your account due to credential mismanagement

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your subscription at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Services will be revoked
• Unpaid fees remain due and payable
• You may request a data export within 60 days

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration in Accra, Ghana, unless otherwise required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
